Information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry showed that Latvia has exported timber estimated at U.S. $ 1.385 million last year. Sweden, Britain and Germany were the major timber exporting countries in Latvia. The country exported 15.7% of all wood products to Sweden, 11.4% to the UK and wood estimated at 221 million USD to Germany.
