It must be reached the level of 23% from the renewable energies until 2020 an it is planned to reintroduce wood into the constructions.
In the middle of all this there is the Forests National Office (ONF) which owns 25% from the forested areas in France and it represents 40% from the wood sells.
The president of administration boarding of ONF, Hervé Gaymard has evaluated in a report sent to Nicolas Sarkozy on 20 of October that “it is important, concerning the economical and ecological issues, to renew the forested areas before coming a storm to destroy what it was built in many years”.
“The old forests are vulnerables, especially in the terms of global warming”, he addes. This way, France has taken the commitment for the wood industry to improve a part of its efforts in order to increase the renewable energy from 9% to 23% until 2020.
