Romania has the highest wind energy potential in south-east Europe with 14.000 MW capacity, while currently 14MW is installed. Why not use it as a solution to take Romania out of crisis? The German trade fair and conference organizer, REECO, with an experience of over 10 years in this field, organizes the 3rd edition of RENEXPO® South-East Europe, in Palace Hall Bucharest, 24 – 26.11.2010. At this year’s event a wind energy meeting point is planed with well known exhibitors, conference participants and referees!
Numerous initiatives have been taken in the last years for the renewable energy development in Romania. Concerning wind energy, the biggest onshore wind farm in Europe already started the production at Fantanele, in south-eastern Romania. Renewable energy is also supported by the finance system; the Romanian Trade Banc for example shows strategic dedication to this sector.
The Romanian National Institute for Energy Development Studies (IRE) proves in a study that wind energy sector in Romania could contribute 13 TWh to the countries total revenue by 2020. It is said that Transelectrica already has plans for exporting electricity surplus through special pipelines in the Black Sea in Turkey. Electrica, the state enterprise is also planning to invest in wind energy, according to "Ziarul Financiar". Three wind parks are foreseen with a 50MW capacity each.
The Romanian Wind Energy Association - RWEA foresees the installation of strong wind parks until 2013: “Romania will become the main actor for wind energy in the south-east European region in the next three years. This will create 5000 new working places” said Ionel David from RWEA to Curierul National.
With the upcoming boom in the renewable energy sector, new opportunities are given for international and national machine and plant builders as well as manufacturers. (According to German Trade and Invest)
In order to support the development of renewable energy market in Romania, the international trade fair and conference organizer, REECO, plans to create the biggest meeting point in Romania dedicated to wind energy in the framework of the third edition of RENEXPO South-East Europe, 24th – 26th November 2010, in Palace Hall Bucharest.
The biggest companies like ENERCON GmbH, GAMESA, Global Wind Power, and many others have already secured their stand in the Wind Park, a separate trade fair area for our exhibitors concentrating their activity on wind energy.
