PRESS RELEASE
The national target for 2010 foresees that the renewable energy sources proportion reach 11%. An evaluation of biomass resources indicates the utilization of forestry biomass, wood and wood waste resulting from industrial processes and agricultural biomass. So the technical potential of biomass could reach 19% from the total primary energy resources. In order to support the renewable energy development in Romania, the German trade fair and conference organizer, REECO, organizes the 3rd edition of RENEXPO® South-East Europe, in Palace Hall Bucharest, 24 – 26.11.2010, with an emphasis on bioenergy.
The European target for renewable energy utilisation by 2020: the renewable energy rate form the total energy consumption has to reach 20%, the minimum rate of biofuels from the total fuels consumption for transport has to reach in the UE 10% and the reduction of greenhouse gases has to become 20% compared to the initial numbers from 1990.
The renewable energy production and utilisation is motivated by the global warming up, reducing greenhouse gas and the limited number of conventional fuels. In Romania numerous initiatives have been taken in the last years for the renewable energy development. It is also supported by the finance system; the Romanian Trade Banc for example shows strategic dedication to this sector.
The legislation supporting the development in this field has been build up. With state’s support, experts see a challenging opportunity that can bring to a boom in the field of bioenergy. The introduction of “Green Certificates” encourages the industrial development of bioenergy and gives a new opportunity for national and international machines and plant builders. Three “Green Certificates” are given for each MWh installed.
Private households are also encouraged to use biomass heating systems, utilising pellets and save energy thank to the “Green House” Program.
In order to support the development of renewable energy in Romania, REECO, international trade fair and conference organiser for renewable energy and energy efficiency all over Europe, organises the 3rd edition of RENEXPO® South-East Europe, between the 24th – 26th November 2010, in Palace Hall Bucharest. Bioenergy is one of the main trade fair and conference themes for this event.
The 3rd International Conference - Bioenergy in Romania creates a meeting point where Biomass Action Plans, cooperation between countries, financing and the legal part will be shown but also electricity and heat generation from biomass innovations, biofuels, biodiesel, biogas, microalgae, miscanthus and many others will be discussed. Between the invited referees are: Laszlo Borbely, Environment and Forest Minister Romania, Dr. Heinz Kopetz, President European Biomass Association, Helmut LAMP, CEO German Bioenergy Association, BBE, Germany and many others.
