French small businesses in the wood area, except wooden furniture manufacturers, are especially prevalent in the Ille de France, Rhone-Alpes, Paus de la Loire and Aquitaine.
In France, half of the regions represents nearly three quarters of the herds in wood furniture and two thirds of the work required. Rhone Alpes region is the most dynamic in terms of population and employment figures for wood.
In Ile de France, however, most workers are employed in the manufacture of wooden furniture, and the region with the largest turnover in the industry.
