PRESS RELEASE:
With the National Biomass Action Plan of the German government, bioenergy is set to expand efficiently and sustainably and remain the most important renewable energy source in the medium term. It shows which potential and reserves we have in Germany for the use of bioenergy and the extent that has already been reached. According to estimates, the share of bioenergy in Germany could be doubled by 2020. Even the Renewable Energy Heat Act (EEWärmeG), which took effect at the beginning of the year raising the proportional use of renewable energy sources for the production of heat for new constructions, is helping to increase the proportion of biomass in the production of heat.
The Market Stimulus Program for Renewable Energies for Heat Production (MAP) provided 350 million euros in 2008, and from 2009 to 2012 the subsidies of the government will increase to up to 500 million euros. To utilize the potential of wood energy as a main source of heat production, innovative technologies and companies are needed in the domestic market as well as for export. Also, an exchange of expert knowledge and informing the broader public are necessary.
A central platform for the exchange of information is the trade fair IHE® WoodEnergy taking place from Sept. 24th-27th, 2009 in Augsburg as part of the 10th RENEXPO® 2009. Over the last 10 years, it has established itself as the leading industry meeting point.
Again this year, the IHE® WoodEnergy is presenting a strong standing in the product segment of wood carburators. Some old well-known exhibitors will be back as well as new entries to the market presenting equipment and technology that has been in testing for many years. Other topics include energy wood provision, heat and power production with pellets, split logs and woodchips, fireplaces, pellet ovens and tiled stoves. In the area of biomass boilers of the low and medium performance range, the market leaders are once again all represented.
The IHE® WoodEnergy is presenting for the first time the special exhibit “Tiled Stove, Fireplace and Pellet Ovens”. As a special highlight, the AKG Augsburger Kachelofen-Großhandel GmbH is organizing a large constructor community booth. In the same exhibition hall section, further constructors will be presenting to qualified visitors and end customers with their own exhibits.
As part of the trade fair, high-quality conferences are also being offered. The Bundesverband BioEnergie e.V. (BBE) is for the ninth time in a row leading the international BBE-Conference for Wood Energy. The conference will inform visitors as always in years before with renown speakers from the areas of politics, economy and organizations on the newest developments in the industry and has established itself as the industry’s top meeting point in Germany. In the area of wood carburators, the Fifth Conference for small and medium Wood Carburation is taking place in cooperation with the FEE Society for the Promotion of Renewable Energies.
At the same time, the RENEXPO® offers an overview of the entire span of renewable energies and energy efficiency. Further information on the trade fair and conferences is available at: www.renexpo.com.
