The 10th edition of the International Forestry Forum took place in Sankt Petersburg, between 4 - 10 october 2008. In the last years it has become the place where new laws and federal strategies are being elaborated, in order to improve and develop the foresty industry and its integration in the global economy.
The theme of this year's edition was: "The Integration of The Russian Federation in the global forestry community: Research - Inovation - Investment - Employee Renewal.
The subject of global warming also featured and it's effect on forests and forest exploitation. Other discution treated subjects like: investments for forestry declimatisation projects, the conservation, exploitation and realibitation of forest environment.
